FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER
We are recruiting a full time Family Support Worker, who will be based at Pinhoe, commencing in role in January 2022, or earlier if possible, and work across our Federation, in both schools. We are looking for an experienced practitioner, with extensive knowledge and skills of working with children and families, providing emotional, mental and wellbeing support. With outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, the successful applicant will also hold an important role in our Safeguarding team as one of our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads. An understanding of Safeguarding policy and process in education, including Early Help and MASH, is essential. Applicants should also be proficient in ICT and flexible to travel for work between our schools, to meet the needs of all our families and communities.

1 to 1 SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT
We are seeking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team from 1st November 2021. The right candidate will have a positive, calm and encouraging attitude and be able to use their initiative and creativity to deliver a personalised curriculum for a child in year 2 who has significant developmental delays, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo.
We are looking for someone who:
– Has experience of working with pupils with significant developmental delays, including speech and language needs and knowledge and experience of how best to support these.
– Has an ability to support a child with their communication and interaction needs and to support engagement with peers.
– Is able to deliver learning tasks using a multi-sensory, play-based approach
– Is able to build positive and nurturing relationships with pupils
– Is flexible, pro-active and hands-on
– Has an understanding of, and commitment to, positive behaviour management
This post is fixed term as it is linked to pupil SEND funding and therefore is dependent on their continued attendance at the school and/or the continuation of funding.
This is a term time only post and salary will be pro rata to reflect this.

MEAL TIME ASSISTANT VACANCY
We are advertising for one Meal Time Assistant to support our lunchtime provision and start as soon as possible. Hours of work are 12:00-13:15, five days a week, term time only.
£9.25 per hour, term time only
